CENTER FOR ADVANCED DENTISTRY - Key Persons
Dr. Corbett Harness is an Atlanta native but received her dental degree from the University of Michigan - one of the top dental programs in the country. She began developing her hand skills at an early age with her passion for art, and continued expanding that with her love of basketball, which she played competitively for over fifteen years. During her college years at Oglethorpe University, she held the position of team captain for 3 years, and helped lead her team to the women's NCAA Final Four during her last year.
Before dental school, she obtained her Masters degree in Biology, and also worked in oral surgery. Dr. Corbett Harness practices General Dentistry, but has a special passion and skill for cosmetics and composite bonding. She is a preferred provider for Invisalign and loves being able to improve our patient's smiles and dental longevity with this clear aligner therapy. We know her friendly bedside manner and gentle touch make our patients feel at ease no matter what procedure they may need.
When she isn't practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her new daughter Olivia and husband Nate, cheering on Michigan and Atlanta sports, and traveling. Much like her passion for dental health, she also has a strong belief in overall health and wellness, and does online health coaching outside of the office.
Terry J. Lemons, DDS, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University Dental School, and completed a General Practice Residency at Emory University. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological and Physical Sciences from Indiana University. Dr. Terry Lemons is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Society of Implant Reconstructive Dentistry.
Dr. Terry Lemons has taken over 500 hours of continuing education. He has taught nursing students Chemistry at Indiana University. And work at the prestigious Krannert Institute of Cardiology for two years prior to dental school as a research technician.
Dr. Terry Lemons has been on several mission trips to serve the underprivileged population and children in need. He has sponsored two free dental days for underprivileged children in South Forsyth and North Fulton counties.
Dr. Terry Lemons is one of the founder members and past President of the Johns Creek Business Association, he was International Director of the Johns Creek Rotary.
Dr. Terry Lemons has two boys, Wesley is a senior in Medical School and recently passed Board 2 in the top 2% in the nation and is being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He plans on pursuing a career in Orthopaedic Surgery hopefully in the South Forsyth area! Matthew is a Computer Science graduate from Georgia Tech, and past Vice President of the Cascading Club. He also Lead the Freshman Leadership program known as CORE. Matt is finishing his masters at Georgia Tech while working for the Microsoft Corporation.
Ushma Patel, DMD, received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida. Dr. Ushma Patel is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Hinman Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and the Institute for Dental Implant Awareness.
Dr. Ushma Patel attends extensive continuing education seminars, workshops, and lectures. Her accomplishments include certification with the renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), Six Month Smiles, and Oral Conscious Sedation. She has taught dental assisting at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, and a local community college. This commitment to excellence allows her to utilize the newest techniques and materials available in modern dentistry to maintain the highest quality of care for her patients. Recognized by colleagues as an expert in restorative implant dentistry, Dr. Patel lectures to various dental groups and teaches comprehensive education programs in restorative implant dentistry.
Dr. Ushma Patel delights in treating people of all ages and provides dental care for the underprivileged. As part of her commitment to the community, she has participated in various charitable events that benefit her local community. In addition, each year her and her team volunteer their time and services to families that are in need of dental care. Dr. Patel and her husband are also very active in the local Johns Creek Healthcare Association.
She has earned a reputation as a warm and caring person by getting to know her patients and their likes and dislikes. Dr. Ushma Patel feels you should be able to reach her with your dental concerns regardless of time or day. Her patients can call her on her personal cell phone number at any time if they need to. Dr. Ushma Patel knows she's doing more than just creating beautiful, healthy smiles; she's also building a trusting relationship to last a lifetime.
Dr. Ushma Patel and her husband have two wonderful boys and are officially empty nesters. In her spare time, she enjoys lecturing to dentists and sharing her knowledge on how to comprehensively take care of patients. She enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
