Anne Jordan

Anne is part of the Reception Team and has been working in the Practice since it opened in 1984. She is committed to providing a professional service to all our patients. In her spare time, Anne enjoys playing the tin whistle, painting and cycling her bike.

Dr Diarmuid Murray

Diarmuid óg is a native of Knock, Co.Mayo. Having studied extensively in the field of Biomedical Science and Medical Research at University of Ulster, he went on to study Medicine at RCSI in Dublin. Diarmuid always envisioned a career in General Practice and in 2010 he returned to Mayo to join his father Dr. Diarmuid Murray Snr. in Knock Medical Centre. After 10 successful years of working alongside each other, Dr. Murray Snr. has now fully retired and Diarmuid óg is now the principal GP at Knock Medical Centre. Diarmuid has a special interest in general medicine and paediatrics. He is also very experienced in the areas of men's health & mental health. When not in the surgery, Diarmuid is busy keeping up with his five children and coaching the local basketball team.

Nikki Murray

Nikki completed her Nursing degree at Trinity College Dublin and went on to study Midwifery at University College Dublin & The National Maternity Hospital (NMH), Holles St. She graduated top of her class and was awarded the prestigious NMH Gold Medal for academic achievement. Nikki has extensive experience in all areas of midwifery in both the hospital and community setting. She joined the Knock Medical Centre team as Practice Midwife in 2016. Nikki provides antenatal care, postnatal care and support in the early newborn period and is proficient in breastfeeding support, health promotion in pregnancy, childhood immunisations and phlebotomy. Nikki is currently undertaking a diploma in women's health with the RCPI.

Nurse Maura Gannon

Nurse Maura Gannon is employed as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with Dr Diarmuid Murray in Knock Medical Centre since 1995. Maura is a registered psychiatric nurse, registered general nurse and registered midwife. She qualified from St Vincent's Hospital in Fairview Dublin in 1987 as a RPN and shortly after moved to Galway where she qualified from UHG in 1990 as a Registered General Nurse in 1993 as a Registered Midwife. She has worked as a clinical nurse specialist in general practice over 25 years. She offers Health Promotion advice and management in areas such as pre- and post-natal care, child immunisation, weight management, smoking cessation. Maura has a key role in promoting Women's Health and general health screening.
