Laurie Lambeth

Experienced craftsman Laurie Lambeth has been building with stone since the late 1990's. Laurie started his working life building traditional dry stone walls, he has since developed a variety of skills that allow him to offer a range of specialist services. During this time Laurie launched the award winning ‘Lambeth Stonework' and has since completed a wide range of projects with many happy clients, some as far away as Australia. Lambeth Stonework remains small enough to be able to offer a personal and affordable service, whilst also having the high level of experience needed to achieve great results. Laurie takes on all kinds of projects and works with all various types of stone, he has a keen eye for detail and is a certified Master Craftsman/Examiner and Instructor with the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain. Over the years Laurie has developed a passion for ornamental and decorative stonework, he enjoys a challenge and takes great pride in his work. In 2008 Lambeth Stonework helped win a BALI National Landscape Award by undertaking stonework on UPM Tilhills award winning project, this was during the renovation and regeneration of the remote Pennine village of Nenthead. In recent years Laurie has been training newcomers to the art of dry stone walling by taking on apprentices through various Heritage Skills Programmes, since 2013 he has helped a number of young people get started in a career of stonework and has been recognized for his efforts with a national Cultural & Heritage Skills award. Laurie has had his work featured in a number of newspaper and magazine articles, amongst others received an award for Historical Restoration and appeared on shows with ITV and there BBC.
