L & S CONSTRUCTION

Dating back to 1954, Herb Scheffler has been involved in the construction industry. He worked for Keiser Construction before he enlisted into the Army in 1959, in which he spent two years stationed at Ft Lewis, Washington. After he was discharged, he went back to work for Keiser Construction in Faribault, MN. While working there, he met Kenny Weber of Sanborn, MN. On weekends he would come to Sanborn with Kenny and stay with the Weber Family. One of those weekends, he met Donalee Missling at a dance in the Avalon Ballroom in Sanborn. Herb and Donalee dated for 2 years before getting married in June of 1963. Herb and Donalee began their lives in Faribault where they rented a small trailer house. Herb continued to work for Kaiser Construction while Donalee was a part-time bookkeeper for Keiser's.
