MAXSON UPGRADES

The T.E. Maxson Facility began operations in 1975. The facility is located at 2685 Steam Plant Road and treats an average of 70 million gallons per day. The facility has gone through a series of major changes over the years. In 2016, the facility will be undergoing another process upgrade including the following: expanded treatment capacity, implementation of effluent disinfection, and overall facility odor reduction... The City is currently planning an upgrade to provide disinfection as the final treatment process to meet requirements in the draft National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit.
