We must obtain permission from the Court to serve the other party outside of Canada. This is called an Order for Service Ex Juris. We are experts in this process and handle between 50 and 60 cases each year where one of the parties lives in a foreign country. The cost of obtaining a foreign divorce is $1800 plus GST. This includes the extra cost to obtain the Ex Juris Order and other possible complications related to these types of cases.
