Attorney Mustapha Hawily

Attorney Mustapha Hawily is a founding partner at HNH Law Group and has years of experience in criminal and civil litigation. In his years of practice, Mr. Hawily has successfully litigated over 300 cases at the District, Circuit, and Appellate level. During his time in law school, Mr. Hawily worked at the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office where he handled a wide array of criminal cases on behalf of the state. He also worked at the United Community Housing Coalition helping underprivileged persons retain their homes from tax foreclosure and resolved landlord tenant disputes.

Ayat Nizam

Associate attorney Ayat Nizam was born and raised in Windsor Ontario, where she graduated from the University of Windsor with an Honors in Commerce degree for Business Administration, concentrating in human resources. She then went on to gain her Master in Business Administration, also from the University of Windsor, where she concentrated in strategy and entrepreneurship. Interested in cross-border services, Nizam went on to gain her Dual JD degrees from the Detroit Mercy School of Law and the University of Windsor Law School. She is currently licensed to practice law in Michigan and is in the process of also becoming licensed in Ontario, Canada. Throughout law school, Nizam was the Dual JD Class President, where she would liaison between both law schools and both administrations, representing the unique needs of her fellow Dual JD classmates. In addition, she was involved with the Windsor Law Moot Court and Advocacy Program as a Client Consultation Moot Competitor. However, one of her most memorable moments was her involvement with the American Bar Association. She began her involvement with the ABA as the Vice-Chair of the Law Student Division. In this role, she was responsible for managing relations with students across the country, representing their needs to the LSD Council, as well as working with the students to increase membership with the ABA. After her term as Vice-Chair, she was then voted in as Chair of the LSD, where she was tasked with managing the needs of law student from over 150 law schools, during the pandemic. Nizam also had the opportunity to speak on the ABA House of Delegates floor, advocating to pass legal education-based resolutions. One of the resolutions Nizam spoke about and passed favorably in the House was allowing menstrual products during the bar exam - a rule that had been unclear to bar exam administrators. Additionally, during her time in law school, Nizam had the opportunity to extern for the Honorable Judge Annette Berry of the Third District Civil Court Division. She also went on to intern for Flat Rate Funding, where she gained experience working on corporate governance filings, reviewing fuel and factoring contracts, lease and land contracts, filed corporate formation documents, as well as completed trademark applications. Nizam is committed to merging her passion for the law with that of her academic background in business.
