Gilkey windows are excellent windows but after 20 years one of the balance mechanisms broke. Paul came out and assessed the situation, ordered the parts and fixed the issue. But what impressed me most was his professionalism, attention to detail, communication and timely manner. Very pleased with the product and service.
The initiating sale was straightforward, no hype, and a reasonable price. The delivery and installation was timely and professional. We are happy with our Gilkey windows.

I ABSOLUTELY love my new windows and sliding glass door from GILKEY Windows. We're actual looking forward to comparing old electric bills with future ones.. I'd also like to give a big shout out to Nathan and Alex whom installed our new product. Both men were friendly, kind, and polite. They even took the time to answer any questions I had. I told my neighbor, who is waiting on her install date from GILKEY, that I hope she gets these two guys. I would recommend this company along with Nathan and Alex to anyone.
These windows are top quality, they made such a huge difference for our air conditioning bill this last summer and to heating over the last winter.
We used Gilkey to have our rear entry door and front door replaced. Love both of them. Brings in so much more light and the rear sliding door makes it so much easier to position the kitchen table. The front door is everything we imagined. Love it! Tom Bush did a great job helping us pick it out and Steven Long was great to work with for the install.
I am very happy I choose Gilkey Windows. The whole experience from start to finish has been great. Tom Bush was very helpful and informative. The sales approach was a thousand times better than all the other window companies I dealt with. I wasn't pressured to sign for that one day only deal that all the other companies hit you with. The installers were very professional and did a fantastic job. They listened and accommodated requests as well as answered any questions. I had all windows replaced in the house including glass block in the basement and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Once we ordered our new front windows, we knew it would take some time to manufacture them. They were done earlier than expected. When they called to set up an installation, it happened within the week. The installers were on time, kept the house very clean and the mess to a small location and actually put up plastic. They finished quickly and left ne mess inside or out. The trim they installed matched the rest of the house perfectly and looked fantastic. Could not be happier with the entire process.
Tom the salesman was straightforward and very informative and wrote up exactly what we wanted. We replaced three double hung windows with plate glass windows. Brian the installer was on-time, professional and meticulous and did a great job! He went above and beyond which you sometimes need to do in a 43 year old house. The new windows have brightened up our breakfast area and we can recommend Gilkey to everyone.
Excellent windows. Excellent customer service. Repaired weather stripping on 15 year old windows for $100 service charge. What a deal. Now replacing an 18 year old patio door widow with small air leak on 20 year warranty! I can't say enough.

Gilkey's crew came out and did a wonderful job of removing the old doors and windows and installing the new. They were efficient, courteous, and cleaned everything up at the end. The windows are very nice. I really have to praise the installers, Andrew and Junior. Their work was amazing. Every step was planned and precise. They really have window installation down to a perfect science. They were friendly but stayed focused on the work. They torn out 11 windows and installed new in just 7 hours and their work was perfect. I will admit, I am a "picky" customer and they exceeded my expectations. Gilkey installed our bay window 10 years ago and it is still going strong. Recently the crank handles finally gave out. Paul, the repair tech, came out and replaced them in 5 mins. He also was kind enough to give me some tips to maintain the window mechanics. Great company, great people!
Jason Ronnebaum, the sales consultant, was extremely helpful in picking out which windows were best for my house. I couldn't be happier with his suggestions, as I love the new windows! And Richard and Brian, the father/son installation team, did a wonderful job. I could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. They were very efficient and professional and they cleaned up everything before they left. I only replaced part of my windows this time, but if I need to do the rest of them, I hope to have Jason, Richard and Brian back. Gilkey stands by their products! No hassles. No hoops to jump thru. We bought a house that had Gilkey windows installed 15 years ago. Some of the seals on the windows had gone bad and the windows were cloudy. I called Gilkey of Louisville and made an appt with Paul for him to come see the windows in question. He arrived on time and was very professional. He ordered the replacement panes and a few weeks later he called to schedule the install. Again he arrived on time and was very professional. My old windows with new panes look like new. My old windows still look like new too! I don't see this kind of service very much these days. I am very pleased to provide an outstanding review about my Gilkey window and door experience. I had a custom patio door with a transom window installed. My experience was positive from the scheduling of my sales appointment to meeting with Jason, the sales professional. He was professional, knowledgable, focused on a quality solution and offered a competitive price. After our appointment, he responded to my questions in a timely manner. Prior to installation, I was called to schedule my installation, and a reminder call was made prior to the installation date.I cannot write enough praise for my installation crew. Mike and Hoff were timely, neat and professional. They encountered a problem with the existing door frame being bowed when the removed the old door. It required a lot of time and creative problem solving to make sure the new door would fit. They built a new wood frame and encased it with a covering product - all done out of the back of their truck! It required an extra day of work and I was not asked to pay more. Fabulous finished product! The appearance and functionality absolutely added more to the value of my home than the cost. I highly recommend Gilkey!
We already had Gilkey windows in the back of our house for several years and needed new ones in the front to replace NuSash which have gone out of business. Our only thought was to use Gilkey. We didn't call anyone else because we are very satisfied with the quality of Gilkey windows and their customer service. The windows were installed two days ago and we can already feel a difference in the bedroom temperature. I had to turn the furnace down so I could sleep comfortably. I highly recommend them!
We replaced all the windows and several doors of our house and truly love the new windows and doors. It's now middle of October and we have not turn on our furnace plus our AC unfit got a break from the hot summer. Noise level from outside was cut in half if not more. Qilkey was very efficient with the installation and we could not be more pleased with their service. Recommended Gilkey windows to all the family and friends.
These people are tops: Product is pricier although the quality, service, and guarantee make it a best value. Six years ago I used them to replace all the ‘contractor grade' windows and because they ARE the area's best I used them again to replace a sliding glass door. Opens and closes with one finger, something out of the ordinary except for Gilkey.
Gilkey provided a great experience all the way from when Brian came out to give us an estimate to Jeff and John who did the install. They delivered a superior product and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for new windows. Great company with great employees.

They are friendly like a good neighbor not a pushy salesman!! They offered genuine recommendations/ suggestions that we were grateful for and from the beginning worked quickly to estimate and measure. Their estimate for install was correct and completed in a day! Our old windows SUCKED and each shattered glass everywhere, but the installer took the time to dillegintly sweep the carpets so no glass could be found for the wild toddler zipping around. Our windows are beautiful, were reasonably priced, and I highly recommend Gilkey!

We are so pleased with our new custom made back door. It started with our sales representative, Tom Bush. He explained everything perfectly and we designed the door to our specifications, colors & hardware. The wait time was long due to COVID and not being able to receive product supplies. Once the door arrived it was installed within a week. Nathan Kemmerer was our installation technician. He did an outstanding job of installing the new door.Everything was perfect and he removed all of the debris from the premises. Everything was left tidy and clean. We chose Gilkey for several reasons. Their salesman, Tom Bush, was a down to earth, no pressure salesman. We priced 3 window companies and Gilkey had the most reasonable price by far. We have an English Tudor style house and wanted to keep diamond grid windows on a front portion of the house. After speaking with multiple window companies, Gilkey was 1 of only 2 that could provide what we wanted. The only hang up was the delay in getting the windows. Between Covid-19 and the diamond grids there was a 90 day delay in getting the glass from the glass manufacturer at no fault of Gilkey. Their staff kept us fully informed along the way. They installed a total of 19 windows for us. Their installer, Anthony, and his crew were awesome. It took them 4 days to complete and properly install, insulate and wrap the windows. In all, it was worth the delay. Very happy with Gilkey and we would highly recommend.
Our installers did an awesome job installing our windows and patio door. Beautiful work, left the sight as they found it, and very professional.
There is a non continuous 12" scratch on the center door, very visible, at eye level. Obviously not happy with the look but mainly concerned about the integrity of the glass/seal.
We had a great experience. Nathan Kemmerer and his team member were on time and on the job!They easily worked around all the commotion in the house that week (our daughter came in town for the week to meet her new grand nephew, and brought her Alaskan husky.) MyAmerican bully added to the mix; but your crew easily made friends and worked through it all.Cleaned up afterwards, even repaired a loose gutter they came across while working on the upper windows. I will have no problem recommending your company and your crew.
When we decided to replace our front entry door this spring we considered a number of companies, but we had a patio slider replaced with a Gilkey slider a number of years ago and it had been an excellent experience. We have needed to have the slider adjusted twice and both times Gilkey had service professionals at our home the next day who solved the problem. So, we decided to go with Gilkey again. Tom Bush was the sales representative who came to the house to give us an estimate. He took a great deal of time to help us select our door, the side light, the color and overall design. The door was installed this past week and we are very pleased with the door, the price and the installation.

From the moment the sales guy showed up, to the installer coming back to pickup the remaining debris this company has great people. They provided a no hassle sales pitch (Brian), a top quality product at a reasonable price. Due to the pandemic the install was delayed, but it was communicated before I purchased the windows / rear doors. I also negotiated the price before purchasing, which I really don't like to do, but it was a decent amount of money to spend on 21 windows and 2 doors. The installers (Jeff, Jason, and Jason) were extremely nice, professional, helpful, and good at their job! They didn't cut any corners or make an excuses, they did a fabulous & quick job. After the install, they showed me how to clean, open, and lock the windows. They accepted two different forms of payment without any questions. Overall, I would highly recommend this company and their product to others who are looking to replace their windows or doors.
Compared to my first install experience, which was disasterous to say the least, Richard and Bryan did an outstanding job! They were very careful of maneuvering the large picture windows in place leaving minimal damage.The financing department was very flexible with me getting payment to them which was very appreciated. Really gave that small town feeling of trust and understanding.The only nit pick I have is that the screens are different from the other windows and the 2 light sliders appear to have changed style since the first batch of installs a few years ago, which is a bit distracting.

Installed our windows 15 years ago and were pleased with them, so we had them recently replace our sliding glass patio door. Had to wait about 4 months for installation, but it was worth it. Door was quickly and seamlessly replaced. Insulation is superior to previous one. Materials were good quality and the work was professionally and neatly done.

I bought a house 3 years ago that already had Gilkey Replacement Windows. Come to find out, they were installed in 1997. Well long story short, I have 3 windows that the tilting mechanism (Clips that lock the window in place) have broken off on one side. No problem for The Gilkey Window Company. Offered to send them out to me free of charge, I didn't even have to pay for shipping. Quality Company, will not hesitate to use them for all future window needs.
I am very satisfied with the new windows I purchased from Gilkey Window Company. Kelly did a great job of educating me during the sales call and Tom did a great job of getting my install scheduled when promised. Andrew and Nathan were my install team. They arrived on time and got right to work. They worked very efficiently, payed close attention to the details and cleaned up afterwards well. They had to come back to finish the the outside trim because it started raining, but they were back early the next morning and finished up quickly. What a huge difference the new windows have made! No more drafts, and very minimal noise from nearby I-71. I had Gilkey do two of my previous homes and their superior service and product had me call them again. I highly recommend Gilkey Window Company!!!!

We purchased our condo approximately 2 years ago and have done several renovations but at the time left the windows off the list to save some cost. At the time Gilkey was not on the list of our Association approved windows. The condo still had the original aluminum frame single hung windows and 4-5 windows had the seals broken (foggy). During cold weather they would ice up and we could feel airflow from around the blinds.Once looking to finally upgrade the windows, Gilkey had been added as an option. We researched them online as well as visited their showroom. Our salesman was very knowledgable and professional in all our discussions. We were impressed to see a local company put out such a quality product. It was also nice to know that if we ever have an issue they are just down the road. After talking with and getting quotes from 3 window companies we are very pleased to have chosen Gilkey Window Company.They were installed in early January; probably not the best idea; but the installation guys were great. They done an incredible job on all the little details. They were also more than willing to discuss any concerns I had during the installation. They addressed any and all items I mentioned.Of course right after the installation the weather warmed up to and I was a little bummed to not get to fully test out the cold weather performance. If you're from the Midwest you know weather can change quickly and once again the cold weather hit. The windows performed just as I had hoped. No icing, air leaks, or even moisture on the inside. An unexpected performance aspect of these windows was reduction in sound level inside. We can typically always here some traffic from a highway not too far away. After the window installation my wife called me into one of the back rooms and said "just listen". Was incredible how quiet it was after the window replacement. Really happy we chose Gilkey for the job.Like any good review nothing is perfect and so it should be mentioned. Neither of these are necessarily pings against Gilkey. Remember that any high efficiency window replacement will likely take up more depth. Our windows were drywall finished into the aluminum frame and thus our custom blinds fit nicely inside the window casing. After the replacement there was only a little more than on inch of space left. Luckily this was enough to use our same blinds. The other issue is kind of in regards to the same thing as far as the drywall finishing around and into the windows. We have always had some drywall cracking even with the old windows as things shift between temperature seasons. So obviously be prepared to do a little drywall/paint touchup if you have a similar window setup to what we had. Window replacement is difficult and I thought the Gilkey crew did a great job in minimizing any touch up work.Thanks again for a great job and great product.

The installers were very good and friendly. When they came across a problem, they quickly knew what to do. The only issue for me was not finishing on time. Three days is not long enough to replace 10 normal windows, 2 large bay windows and 2 sets of patio doors. The work was done very well and clean up was good. I highly recommend Gilkey.

From start to finish, I found the Gilkey Windows experience to be a great one. My Gilkey representative, Tom Bush was very helpful and really knew his product. There are a lot of windows out there, and I found that Gilkey Windows were the right ones for me.
I wanted to wait a couple weeks after my window install was completed before I reviewed. We had several window companies come and give us estimates for windows in our entire house which included two large bow windows in the front. The estimate from Gilkey came in right in line with a couple and a fair bit cheaper that two companies and the window that I was getting from Gilkey was a better product. Kelly Lockman, from Gilkey, helped us with choosing the right windows to replace the old bow windows in the front of the house, 100% improvement on curb appeal. Once the windows were manufactured we scheduled the install and off we went. I can not compliment the installation crew enough, my house is not the easiest house to work on with lots of ladder trips but they knocked out the work in 2 1/2 days, I was quite impressed.We have not received our first electricity bill yet with the windows installed but I will be surprised if there isn't quite an energy savings and we have already noticed an increase in our comfort. 10/10 would go with Gilkey again if we move and require new windows or doors.
Have now installed a front door, complete house windows and most recently a back door on the garage. Justin was great to work be with, never pushed us to purchase and we feel like he has become part of our family. Installers were quick and made very little mess. We had all (11) new windows custom replaced in our sunroom. We had 30+ year old wood casements, now have new casements laminated on both sides to match both inside & outside decor. The coil finish work on the outside was excellent as well. The installers were professional, clean, online & courteous. Everything was professional from the start with sales to install. I would highly recommend Gilkey Windows for a quality window project.

Installed two sliding glass doors. Love the product, and Mike and Mike, our installers were great!
Took 4 months due to the pandemic to get the door. Once a date and time were scheduled they let me know. The service had to be pushed back a week due to the key installer being ill and they did not want to risk it being a covid case which I appreciated but they arrived on time the day of the install and were very thorough and professional even took the time to look at our other door to see why it was not shutting properly without charge. Will definitely look to them for window replacement when time comes.
