Prior to her current position, she was editor of Johnstown Magazine and worked in public relations, television, and radio. She earned her bachelor's degree in Communications from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.

Beverly Weaver is the Weatherization Coordinator for the Erie County Housing Authority. She has worked for the housing authority for more than 25 years.
Brian J. Hill, Committee Chair, is a program officer with the Richard King Mellon Foundation, based in Pittsburgh. He is rejoining the SEF committee, having formerly been its chairman. Brian is currently on the board of the Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds and Riverlife and, among other positions, has served as CEO and President of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council and chair of the PA Department of Environmental Protection's Citizens Advisory Council.

Heidi joined Berks County Community Foundation in 2001 as the director of communication. She later became vice president for communication and then senior vice president for programs and initiatives before being promoted to Chief Strategy Officer.
Ivonne Muniz joined the Community Foundation team in 2021 as Front Office Coordinator. She is responsible for assisting in the management of our Community Conference Center, performing various administrative functions, greeting our guests, and getting phone calls directed to the right team members.
Ivonne is a bilingual native of Puerto Rico and holds a Certificate in Business Administration from Reading Area Community College.
Prior to joining the Community Foundation, she was employed in the Lebanon County court system.

Jenn Schade is the Regional Manager and Vice President at Citizens Bank in Erie. She holds an MBA and BS in Finance, both from Ganon University, and brings more than 20 years of financial experience to the fund. Jenn represents commercial customers.

Kevin Murphy joined Berks County Community Foundation as its first employee in 1994. As president, he is chief executive officer of the corporation. He supervises the business and operations of the foundation and serves on its board of directors.
Kevin is immediate past-chair of the board of directors of the Washington D.C.-based Council on Foundations. He co-chaired the national search for the Council's chief executive officer in 2012.
Previously, Kevin served two terms as president of Community Foundations for Pennsylvania, and as chair of the board of directors of The Funders' Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities.
In 2001, Kevin was selected as a German Marshall Foundation Transcontinental Fellow to serve as a consultant to the Togliatti Community Foundation in Togliatti, Russia. He worked with philanthropic organizations in Russia, and has returned to that country on several occasions to continue the exchange.
In 1990, Kevin was named Special Assistant to the Pennsylvania Secretary of Aging. After leaving the Department of Aging in late 1991, he worked as a consultant in the retirement and nursing home industries.
A State College native, Kevin graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and Business. He holds a Master of Science in community leadership from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.

As Berks County Community Foundation's Program Officer for Energy and the Environment, Kevin Lugo manages the Community Foundation's programs and initiatives that focus on the environment, energy efficiency, and sustainable energy. He is Berks County Community Foundation's primary staff contact for the Metropolitan Edison Company Sustainable Energy Fund. Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Kevin was the Sustainability and Solid Waste Manager for the City of Reading and a consultant in the solid waste industry. A graduate of Gettysburg College, Kevin holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and Environmental Studies with a focus on energy economics. A native of Berks County, Kevin is an avid biker who has ridden across the United States twice.

Mary Beth Smialek is the Manager of Compliance and Human Services of First Energy Corporation. She holds an MBA from Penn State University. Mary Beth represents utility groups.
Megan received her Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Delaware and is a Certified Public Accountant. She moved with her family from Delaware to Berks County in 2005. Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Megan spent more than nine years operating her own accounting firm. During that time, she specialized in providing services to small businesses and individuals, and providing accounting and consulting services to the nonprofit industry.
In 2018, Megan received two awards. Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants named her as a 2018 Young Leader. She was also named as a Top 40 Professionals Under 40 by the Reading Eagle.
Megan volunteers for Family Guidance Center, where she has served as treasurer of the board, secretary of the board, and chair of the finance committee. She also serves as Treasurer for both the Plowville Athletic Association and Rock Hollow Woods Environmental Center. She volunteers at various other local nonprofits.
Megan enjoys spending time with her family and serves as the Daisy troop leader for her daughter's Girl Scout troop.

Mike Kane has been at the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies since 2001. During that time he has had the opportunity to work with hundreds of donors throughout Bedford, Cambria, Somerset and Indiana counties and beyond. He is interested in donors' stories and aspirations and in the many different ways to better our community. He has served a number of boards of organizations in support of philanthropy, community and economic development, conservation, the arts, and education. Mike and his wife, Elizabeth, have two children, James, a junior at the Georgia Institute of Technology; and Ellie, a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh. His hobbies include running while listening to his favorite playlists and having his heart broken each year by the University of Pittsburgh football team.
