God has certainly blessed our Baltimore based family business. Although the scope of the work has changed for nearly 154 years, the quality has not. We've seen many plumbing businesses come and go. We remain the oldest, family based plumbing company in Maryland... John Henry Mullenberg was born in Germany in 1811 and founded the Mulenberg Company in 1867 at 112 N. Paca Street. In 1876, John Henry's son Charles H. Mullenberg took over the business and moved it to 1301 Druid Hill Avenue... Mullenberg family history... Richard's grandmother was Charles H. Mullenberg Sr.'s granddaughter. As a kid, Richard has worked for his dad, Howard 'Bud' Walton, at Mullenberg since 1972. Bud started full time at Mullenberg in 1952, under his father Howard 'Tom' Walton. Tom bought the business from his father-in-law Charles H. Mullenberg Jr. The business started in 1867 on Paca Street in Baltiimore City. It moved to Druid Hill Avenue and eventually to W. Lafayette Avenue.
