Although Alec was born in Corvallis, Oregon, he was raised almost his whole life in the city of Boise. His family relocated to the Treasure Valley when he was at a young age, allowing him to attend Boise School District schools since kindergarten. In 2015, he graduated from Borah High School and immediately attended The Evergreen State College the following September.

Brian founded, and later sold, a notable full-service financial services firm in California. While enjoying the start-up phase of the business, running the day-to-day operations of a large firm became more burdensome than joyful. Brian realized his personal goals were no longer centered on simple financial success. After long work days and losing time with his family, he decided the next best move was to sell the firm while the firm was strong and successful. He could now refocus on his family and personal health. In 2009, Brian moved to Boise, Idaho and never looked back.
Brian started Tree City Advisors on the understanding that everyone has different goals. Whether it's a financial goal, health and well-being, or creating more time to enjoy life and loved ones, Tree City Advisors was created to help people focus on the success they value most. Brian's vision was to create a practice with no product sales or conflicted advice. Rather, he wanted to focus on the reason he became an advisor in the first place; working for his client's best interests.
Brian has been a financial advisor for 22 years and has spent 21 of those years educating listeners during his radio program. The Real Money Pros can be heard on Saturdays, 12-2pm (MST). His passion for people, knowledge, and goals is the centerpiece of the show. He brings talent from around the Treasure Valley to help educate and empower his listeners to help them become independent of a sometimes, predatory industry.
Jeremiah Bates was born and raised in southern California. He began his finance career with a large legacy banking firm and soon realized he had a passion for helping clients with financial matters. He harnessed this newfound zeal to acquire his investment licenses and move on to work with securities management and the private wealth segment of the bank.
As a licensed banker with J.P. Morgan Chase Bank in California, Jeremiah fine-tuned his skills in finance, navigated the ever-changing world of banking, and gained an appreciation for individualized, client-directed service.
Since joining TCA, Jeremiah has enjoyed building long-lasting relationships with clients. He is also the voice of KBOI's week day market updates, a frequent collaborator on The Real Money Pros radio program, and has served as TCA's Chief Compliance Officer since 2019.
Jeremiah has lived and worked in Boise for nearly a decade. While he's not an Idaho native, he has deep familial roots in the Treasure Valley. Jeremiah lives in Boise with his wife, Tatum, and young daughter, Torrey. He enjoys many sports, taking advantage of Idaho's great outdoors, grilling a mean steak, and watching RomComs with his wife.
Sarah is a 4th generation Idahoan, born and raised in Boise, and proud to call Idaho home.
Sarah studied political science and European history in Lacey, WA and Japanese language and culture in Nishinomiya, Japan. She spent the early 2000s as a writer and researcher for a free market think tank, taught ESL in Japan, and returned to Idaho in 2006. Sarah cooked professionally for nearly ten years, driven by a desire to provide warm, sincere service and hospitality.
