Debbie joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2018. She has 3 years experience in the actuarial industry. Debbie has extensive experience in wide range of actuarial work including actuarial valuation, product pricing, financial projection, business feasibility studies, risk management reporting and underwriting policy development. Debbie has experience across life insurance, general insurance life reinsurance, general reinsurance, family takaful and general takaful verticals. Her work spans across Malaysia, Australia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Bahrain.

Desmond joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions as an Actuarial Analyst in 2022. He is looking forward to gain more exposure towards various actuarial field.
Deven is a graduate from UCSI University with First Class Honours in BSc. (Hons) Actuarial Science and Finance. He started his career as an actuarial analyst at Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2023. During his university time, he is actively involved in student development initiative (specialized in mentorship program) which led him to have some essential skills such as, communication, problem-solving, and leadership.

Yue Shen has experience in doing valuation work for insurance company in Brunei, Singapore and Cambodia. This valuation work includes automating the valuation process and implementation of new guidelines for an insurance company.
Yue Shen has over 3 years experience in general, life and captive insurance valuation work. He also has experience in business projection, pricing and IFRS 17 work.
Yue Shen is a member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. He is currently studying to be a Fellow.
Yue Shen has worked with different client with different needs and expectations. All these different experience has made him a fast learner, and also flexible to adapt to the current situation.
Jasmine is a fast learner and is always keen to learn and expand her actuarial knowledge to provide solutions to real-world problems. Jasmine is proficient in Excel, VBA, R and SQL. She also has experience in using Prophet, DCS and Access.
Jasmine joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2023. She has over 1 year experience in actuarial valuation and data analytics prior to joining the company.
Ming Wei is involved in IFRS 17 implementation projects for several insurance companies. She worked on data and impact assessment, transition calculation and analysis, and provided training to the clients. Apart from that, Ming Wei also gained extensive experience in building and testing IFRS 17 measurement software applications using programming tools. She is proficient in Excel, VBA, R, Prophet and DCS.
Ming Wei graduated from Heriot-Watt University Malaysia with a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science. She is currently studying towards attaining Fellowship of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). Ming Wei is deeply passionate about mathematics and problem-solving. She is a self-motivated achiever and is always keen to learn and explore the broad diversity of actuarial work.
Kun Khim has over 10 years experience in actuarial work covering conventional life insurance and family takaful in the areas of the actuarial valuation, actuarial modelling, actuarial pricing and risk management.
In his previous role, he was the assistant lead for the IFRS 17 implementation project for a large multinational insurance company. He was involved in leading the work from establishing going-in positions for both conventional life insurance and family takaful businesses, coordinating the position with regional and corporate office as well as leading the relevant technical discussions and assessments with the project team. He also led the actuarial modelling function, covering the consolidation of new product model, ad-hoc enhancements and independent model review with regional review team.
Kun Khim has worked on various evaluation of company initiatives in assessing the viability of potential new strategic partnerships. He also had experience in shareholders reporting, encompassing value of new business, strategic planning and business planning.
Kun Khim is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK) He graduated from the Australian National University in BSc Actuarial Studies.

Lye Yin joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions, working with the Financial Reporting Practice for a year. Prior to this, Lye Yin had 3 years of experience working in two audit firms, Nexia SSY and UHY.
Lye Yin had previously been involved in the design of Chart of Accounts (COA), accounting journals and skeleton of financial statement with accounting disclosures for general insurance companies. Lye Yin is proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Lye Yin is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant (ASEAN CPA). She graduated from the Oxford Brookes University with a BSc in Applied Accounting and ACCA from Sunway College.
Yan Chin started her career as an actuarial analyst in Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2022 after completing her degree in Malaysia. Her degree and internship experience involving sample reserve matching has equipped her with practical actuarial skillset.
Yan Chin is persistent when solving problems as mathematics is her passion. She is keen to utilize her knowledge and experience to contribute while gaining exposure towards various actuarial works.

Jone Keat has over 2 years of experience in streamlining business workflow in the insurance and finance industry in Malaysia. By using his data analytics and programming skills, he always strive to propose new strategies and act to develop automation tools.
Jone Keat is proficient in Excel, R, Shiny and VBA, and using these skills, he developed various actuarial software including PAA robot and ReACC. He also proposed and consistently improved the development workflows and practices using version control system to assure the efficiency and reproducibility of our technology works.
Jone Keat graduated from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman with First Class Honours in BSc Actuarial Science. He is currently studying towards attaining Fellowship of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS).
Jone Keat joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2020 as a developer. He actively participated in technology works to develop high quality and user-friendly actuarial software.
Shu Yi joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2017, she has more than 5 years of professional actuarial experience in the life insurance and general insurance. She now leads the Employee Benefits practice.
Shu Yi is actively involved in employee benefits design & planning and Employee Stock Option Scheme (ESOS).
Shu Yi was the Secretary of Actuarial Society of Malaysia (ASM) for years 2020 - 2021. She graduated from Sunway University in Malaysia holding a BSc in Actuarial Studies.
Pei Sim joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2022. She graduated from Sunway University with BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Studies. She was a pricing intern in life insurance company.

Mehviness joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions as an Actuarial Analyst in 2023. He graduated from University of Malaya (UM) with a Bsc (Hons) in Actuarial Science. Prior to this, he has experience in Actuarial Pricing for life insurance products.
Nadia came from Indonesia and joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions. Nadia has over 2 years experience in product development, product pricing and financial projections in life insurance, family takaful (Syariah life insurance), medical insurance, life reinsurance, health reinsurance, group employee benefits as well as for insurtech startups.
Nadia has led pricing projects in Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Myanmar, for multinational and local insurers. She is familiar with local regulatory requirements and internal requirements of large multinational insurers.
Nadia is also proficient in Robotic Process Automation. She has developed an automated life insurance valuation routine using Automation Anywhere.

Eng Kheng has experience in IFRS 17 implementation. He has supported in setting up runs to perform VFA eligibility test and profitability assessment for each policy, and to update the BAU MPF with IFRS 17 variables.
Eng Kheng has performed valuation for various long term employee benefits in Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore and Bangladesh such as retirement benefit and post-retirement medical benefit.
Eng Kheng is proficient in Excel, VBA and R. He has significant experience in building and testing application software using R Shiny. He is involved significantly in the coding and testing of reinsurance software, ReACC which is used by clients regularly to generate reinsurance results.
Eng Kheng graduated from the University of Manchester with First Class Honours in BSc Actuarial Science and Mathematics. He is currently studying towards qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).
Eng Kheng has experience in Prophet and DCS modelling. He has supported in Prophet modelling and DCS coding for new product. Besides, he has helped to set up experience study for mortality in DCS for an Indonesian life company and set up runs for stress test for FCR reporting for a takaful operator. He is also invloved in conducting Prophet training to client.
Eng Kheng has experience in various actuarial work such as life insurance, reinsurance, employee benefits, pension and insurtech startups.
Pei Sim joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2022. She graduated from Sunway University with BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Studies. She was a pricing intern in life insurance company.
Shao Weng is proficient in Excel VBA, Python and R Programming. He is a good team player with strong interpersonal skills. He is keen to learn how to apply his actuarial knowledge in the real world.
Shao Weng joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in December 2022 as an Actuarial Analyst. He had previously interned in Product Development department in a life insurance company. His past experience equipped him with practical actuarial knowledge.
Shao Weng graduated from Sunway University in BSc (Hons) Actuarial Studies, and he is currently studying towards qualifying as a Fellow in the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).
Nicholas Cheong began as an intern in Nicholas Actuarial Solutions and he joined the firm in 2022 as an Actuarial Analyst. He had previously interned in KPMG's Financial Risk Management (FRM) department. His past experience equipped him with practical actuarial and risk management knowledge.

Ryan started his career as a Business Development Analyst in Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2021, mainly assisting the firm in financial reports, meeting client's objectives and analyzing market trends & opportunities to further develop the business. He interned in BDO Accounting Malaysia as a Market Analyst before joining n-actuarial.
She is a determined person in problem-solving and passionate about exploring IT programming and analytics, hoping to extend what she has learnt and apply it in the actuarial field.
Celine graduated from Asia Pacific University with a First-Class Honours in BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Studies and currently studying towards in attaining the Fellowship of Society of Actuaries (SOA).
Yi-Bei kickstarted her career as an actuarial analyst at Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2022. During her study, she has 2 internship experiences related to actuarial pricing, actuarial valuation, and actuarial modelling in life insurance which affirmed her interest towards actuarial industry.
Yi-Bei is proficient in excel VBA, python, and R. She is passionate to broaden her knowledge on actuarial to contribute to the industry.

Sithira joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2023 and is based in the Singapore office. Sithira has over 10 years experience in product development and pricing for life and health insurance and reinsurance.
Sithira has led pricing projects in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Hong Kong and Europe for multinational and local insurers.
Sithira graduated from London School of Economics with a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science. She is currently studying towards attaining Fellowship of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). She is adaptable and is always keen to find more efficient ways to solve problems. Her organization experiences have developed her strong communication, people management and problem-solving skills.
Sithira is proficient in Excel, VBA as well as R. Outside of product pricing, Sithira is also part of the Social and Health committee of the Singapore Actuarial Society. She is also a member of the Mental Health working party for the IFoA.
Sophia was the President for Actuarial Society Malaysia for 2019-2021. She is now an independent director for insurer.
Sophia has more than 20 years of experience in pricing, valuation, reinsurance, Asset Liability Management (ALM), capital management and risk management, for life insurance, general insurance and Takaful.
Her previous roles span from Independent Non-Executive Director, Appointed Actuary, CFO, strategy planning, performance management, risk management, product marketing and pricing to consultancy and lecturer. The companies she served are Zurich Insurance, MetLife, AIA, Generali, Great Eastern, Tune Insurance Malaysia, IKBZ Insurance, Forte Insurance, Etiqa, Hannover Re, Echo Re and several captives. She had done works for Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Cambodia, Bahrain and Singapore.
Sophia is a Fellow of Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK), a Fellow of Actuarial Society Malaysia, Fellow of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Chartered Global Management Accountants. She held a Bachelor of Economics degree from Macquarie University.

Min Li joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2023 and has close to 2 years of experience in Malaysia focusing on Prophet and DCS modelling. In addition to that, she has valuation experience in Takaful statistical reporting.

Wei Wei is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) who graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2002. She has experience working across many countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, India, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea. Over Wei Wei's 19 years in the insurance industry, she has experience in across life insurance, family takaful, general insurance and group insurance business.
Wei Wei an expert Prophet user with experience in managing and setting controls and checks in the Prophet System. She is also proficient in excel and VBA.
Wei Wei has extensive experience in actuarial works including business projection, planning & forecasting, value reporting including Traditional EV, MCEV, VNB and MCVNB, Solvency II, US GAAP reporting, PGAAP reporting, actuarial pricing, actuarial process review, reinsurance management and Prophet modelling & enhancements.
Vincent joined Nicholas Actuarial Solutions in 2022. During his study, he had experience doing internships in Indonesia in actuarial valuation and regional reporting, and in Malaysia as a data analyst. He has been active in organizations since high school and was the 2020-21 vice president of the Indonesian Student Association in UCSI University. This has led him to have great leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Wan is an Islamic and conventional finance professional with 30 years extensive experience in the banking, insurance and takaful sector, having held various leadership and executive management roles in Malaysia and Hong Kong. He has also served as an independent director with a general insurance company and an Islamic cooperative Bank in Malaysia.

Wong is also a Principal Director in Labuan Insurance Management Services Limited and a Chartered Insurance Practitioner. He is also admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
