Dr. P.K.Kamani is the Professor & head in Paint Technology Department at Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) Kanpur India ( formerly HBTI Kanpur). He did his B.Tech (1981), M. Tech. (1983) and Ph. D. (1997) in Paint Technology with Gold Medal. He is having 5 years industrial experience and 27 years teaching experience at UG and PG level. He has published/presented more than 150 papers in National and International journals/conferences. He has also written a book on Paints, Varnishes and Lacquers. He has been conferred the India Paint Association award twice, of which one was presented by Hon'ble President Sri Pranab Mukherjee, the then Finance Minister. His Research scholar has been conferred the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award by Kansai Nerolac. Dr. Kamani has also gone overseas to deliver his talks. He has completed several projects sponsored by private and government organizations. Dr. Kamani has filed two of his premier works for patent. He is the life and fellow member in various associations of high repute e.g.IEI, ISTE, OTAI,PACT and HA. Dr. Kamani has organized several seminars, conferences and workshop in paints and allied areas and has also conducted various training program on manufacturing of paints, adhesives, varnishes; causes and remedies paint defects; surface preparation, paint application and mitigation of corrosion at various industries and institutions e.g. petroleum, chemicals, automobiles, electronics etc. He provides consultancy services in different areas e.g. paint, pigments, adhesives, corrosion, rubbers, UV radiations etc.
Dr. S. C. Srivastava was born on 15th August 1956 in Kanpur.
He graduated in Chemistry from Kanpur University and obtained Technology degree in Chemical Technology - Specialization in paints, pigments & polymer from HBTI Kanpur in 1979, later post-graduation in Management Science in 1985 and Doctorate financial Management from Bombay University in 2010.
He started his career with training in paint technology with then leading MNC paint Company (ICI ltd.) and later consolidated his experience in printing ink technology with then leading MNC (Coates of India Ltd.). After gaining hands-on experience in paints and printing inks, he further enriched his experience in pigments with then leading MNC (Colour Chem Ltd., a joint venture of Hoechst AG & Bayer AG, Germany)
He spent 20 years in polymers, paints, printing inks, pigments and varnish before embarking a new career in research, manufacturing, and marketing of specialty additives for paints and coatings, printing inks, pigments, polymer and allied industries.
He is the Chairman and Managing Director of K-TECH (INDIA) LIMITED, a specialty chemical, and additives company engaged in research, manufacturing, and marketing of specialty chemicals for paints and coatings, printing inks, pigments, polymers, textile, leather, paper, and oil fields. The company has dedicated R&D Centre, Technical Service Centre and Production facility with modern equipment's to meet the customer's stringent requirements and satisfaction.
He is associated with various leading educational and research institution in the fields of chemistry and technology, includes HBTI, ICT, MSBTE, etc.
Under Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) initiatives: He runs a charitable trust run under the name of his parents, Smt. Kokila Mahesh Charitable Trust Foundation, which is engaged in education, old age home and orphanage for the welfare of the weaker section of society. Manage a primary and secondary education trust in the name of Bharatiya Shikshan Samithi which imparts education to three thousand underprivileged children in Thane, Maharashtra, India.
