When I was a kid, the worst punishment I could get was having my Crayola crayons taken away. On our front porch, I had an easel with pots of finger paint. In elementary school, I used acrylics to create large paper panels that hung in the hallways. I took watercolor classes. For me, creating art with color was everything...
As I got older, as with most youth I got distracted. My interests expanded and eventually careened into the music world. I went to an arts-focused high school and performed in local bands. In university, I majored in classical guitar. Later, taking an about-face in genres, I joined a rock/blues band and toured for a number of years.
