I support the Pitt Staff Union because I believe that the best way to improve Pitt for everyone is for University Staff to have an equal voice in the conversation about how we serve our community. We are competent, committed, and proud of the work we do, and we deserve the opportunity to represent ourselves.​... We believe in the outstanding mission of Pitt and are committed to building a university system that staff, faculty, students, and community stakeholders can be proud of. Forming our union will help the University to attract, retain, and motivate the best talent. As one of the region's largest employers, we can also help set the standard and raise the working conditions of everyone in our community... As a Union, we will make decisions democratically to address the issues that matter to us. We are the union! We will negotiate with the administration as equals in order to advocate for our interests and create a system that works better for everyone.
