Powerlift Dumbwaiters, a family-owned and -operated corporation, was founded by the Reite family patriarch, John Reite, in 1972. Reite, a first-generation son of Norwegian immigrants, started selling his own design for garage doors in the mountains of Santa Cruz in 1957 as the sole proprietor of Santa Cruz Overhead Door, when he was approached to design and build the prototype of a residential elevator car for Waupaca Elevator... Powerlift Dumbwaiters, Inc. has been building residential and commercial dumbwaiters since 1972. Our mission is to manufacture a quality dumbwaiter that's affordable and easy to install. Every dumbwaiter we build is custom made to your specifications, unlike other manufacturers who provide an off-the-shelf product, forcing you to design your life around the limitations of their product. We offer a 5 year warranty on all residential dumbwaiters, and a 2 year warranty on all commercial dumbwaiters and mezzanine lifts.
