Aliza Apple is the co-Founder and SVP of Portfolio, Partnerships, & Strategy at Santa Ana Bio, a biotech startup focused on developing biologics for autoimmune disease. Prior, Aliza was a partner at McKinsey and Company's San Francisco office working across healthcare and non-profit clients to develop their growth, operational, and investment strategy. Prior to McKinsey, Aliza worked at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) as a member of the Global Vaccines leadership team based in Nairobi, Kenya. There she formulated country-specific vaccine introduction strategies, managed operational roll outs, designed immunization system strengthening programs, and monitored program impact across 14 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and SE Asia. She also served as the CHAI representative in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative convened by UNICEF and WHO. Aliza began her career as a scientist, receiving a bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics at Georgetown University. She went on to complete a PhD in Bioengineering from UC San Francisco and UC Berkeley, where her doctoral research focused on stem cell mediated regeneration of spinal tissue. She then completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Cornell Medical College designing articular cartilage implants. She joined the ReSurge board in 2022.

Anna Santos

Anna has a Master of Public Administration from the International Development Policy and Practice Program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey with a specialization in digital storytelling for social change. Prior to joining ReSurge, Anna worked at Rocketship Public Schools, a non-profit network of elementary schools, where she led marketing, branding, and digital engagement. While at Rocketship, she built a social media and digital marketing strategy recognized by sector leaders as exemplar in the field. She was also a founding member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and National Leadership Team. Anna has worked extensively in the non-profit and education sectors throughout the United States, Latin America, Southeast Asia and Europe. While in New York, she worked on the marketing and content production of Marta Gomez's 2014 Latin Grammy Winning album, "Coloreando - Traditional Songs in Spanish for Children", benefiting the non-profit, Global Language Project. Anna is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico with family from Spain. She is a culture, linguistics, and dance nerd and is happiest with a good cup of coffee and a great playlist. She is passionate about the power of ethical storytelling to authentically engage communities, challenge power and privilege dynamics, and raise awareness.

Beck Ann Hughes

Deborah Grant

Delali Attiogbe Attipoe

Diane Flynn

Dora Rusin-Gomez

Dora was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. In 1998, she graduated from the Escuela Colombiana de Medicina, Universidad El Bosque in Bogotá and became a licensed practitioner of general medicine and worked in the university's pharmacology department. After obtaining her degree, Dora moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she worked to help the local Hispanic community as a medical interpreter at Stanford Hospital. Dr. David Norton

Dr. David Norton went on his first ReSurge/Interplast trip in 1993 and in spring of 2015 completed his 20th ReSurge team trip. Dave attended Georgetown University and Yale Medical School and completed his residency at University of California, San Francisco in pediatrics. Currently, he resides in western Massachusetts and has a private practice at Holyoke Pediatric Associates. He is an assistant clinical professor at Tufts University and teaches its medical students, as well as pediatric residents at Baystate Medical. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and an active participant in the section on International Child Health, and Massachusetts co-coordinator for the Academy's practice-based clinical research program, PROS. He is also very involved in public health in the state as part of the Massachusetts Medical Society's committees on public health and LGBT matters, as well as the State Vaccine Advisory Committee and the governor- appointed State Vaccine Purchase Committee. For many years, Dave has been a key member of the medical volunteer leadership of ReSurge. He is a member and chair of the pediatric committee and also serves as pediatric representative to the Medical Services and QI committees. Dave joined the ReSurge board in 2014.

Dr. Dorothy Gaal

Dr. Tom Davenport

Eileen Sheldon

George Gregory
