SEA, Safety Engineers Association was started in the year 2000. It is a registered body under the Societies Act 1975. This is a non-governmental organization working for enhancement of safety professionalism. The need for an association for the safety professionals was under consideration for a long time and it came into reality in the year 2001. Dr. M.Lakshmanan, then Chief inspector of factories, Government of Tamil Nadu, had taken the initiative to convene a meeting of senior safety professionals to discuss the formation of the association... Official forum for HSE professionals, this association was formed and registered under the societies act, 1975 in 2001 as the safety engineers association(SEA).
