While metal theft is at the forefront of conversation regarding metal recycling, the goal of SCRA is to bring other important information to the recyclers of South Carolina. That information is not just about thefts, but also about the communication of new laws and ordinances, networking with other metal recyclers as well as offering constant support. By recycling, we continue to manufacture goods with less energy consumption, reduce the cost of disposals while extending the life of landfills, and create jobs for everyone as well as helping the development of more business... The South Carolina Recycler's Association exists to curb metal theft and its direct effects on the recycling industry. Our mission is to educate the legislators, law enforcement, and citizens of South Carolina about the importance of recycling and what we can all gain from it.
