Carla S. Sigler

Carla S. Sigler was born in Welsh, Louisiana and grew up in the Lake Charles area in Moss Bluff, Louisiana. She attended Moss Bluff Elementary School, Moss Bluff Middle School, and Sam Houston High School, where she graduated in 1992. Ms. Sigler was a full academic scholarship student to McNeese State University, where she graduated with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. At McNeese, Ms. Sigler was a member of Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Fraternity, Epsilon Alpha Epsilon Women's Honor Society, and the Alpha Lamda Delta National Freshman Honor Society. Ms. Sigler graduated from Paul M. Hebert LSU Law Center in May of 2000, and she was admitted to the Louisiana Bar on October 6, 2000. Ms. Sigler graduated in the top 24% of her law school class, and while there she received CALI Awards in Constitutional Law II and Bankruptcy, which are given for the highest grade in the class. In addition, she was on the Chancellor's List in Fall of 1999 and Spring 2000, she served as Historian for the Legal Association of Women, and she was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. While in law school Ms. Sigler clerked for Mr. William Daniel "Dan" Dyess, a noted personal injury and criminal defense attorney. Ms. Sigler's first job out of law school was as a judicial law clerk for the 4th Judicial District Court in Ouachita and Morehouse Parishes, where she worked for the Honorable Marcus Clark, now a Louisiana Supreme Court justice, and for the Honorable Carl Van Sharp of 4th Judicial District. Ms. Sigler is a member of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association and the Texas state bar, where she was admitted in 2006. She is a also member of several federal bars, including the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States District Court, Middle District of Louisiana, and the United States District Court, Western District of Louisiana. Ms. Sigler is dedicated to serving clients with integrity and skill in the areas of Criminal Defense, Family Law, Business Litigation, Estate Planning, Successions, and Personal Injury. As an experienced appellate advocate, she also is available for Legal Writing & Research and Appellate Advocacy work and consultation.
