My name is Brittney McNab. I grew up, and graduated just down the road in Luverne, MN. After High School I attended Minnesota West in Worthington and received my AA, and continued my education in Nebraska, at Dana College. After graduation I moved back to Southwest Minnesota! My husband and our three kids reside on a farm outside of Brewster, MN. I also coach volleyball at Minnesota West, run the JO Volleyball program through Heron Lake- Okabena, and help with tumbling classes at Shining Fame Performance! I love to stay busy, and have a sweet spot for candy!

Hi my name is Diane Hulstein. The children call me Ms. Diane. I teach Physical Education and assist in the recess duties here at St. Mary's. This is my third year and I love working with the kids. Last year, with covid restrictions, I started working on activities that could be learned and carried on after getting out of school. Life long activity is a goal of mine keeping in mind that our bodies are God's temple and we need to care for them so we can reach our fullest God given potential

Linda Kingery

My name is Linda Kingery and I'm the music teacher here at St. Mary's School. I grew up near Medford, Minnesota, then attending Concordia College in Moorhead. After graduating with a teaching degree in Music Education and a French major, I took my first job in Adrian, Minnesota. I met and married my husband, Gary, a farmer from Reading. We have 2 daughters and 1 son. My teaching duties over the years have included K-6 classroom music, beginning band lessons, middle school choir, high school choir, show choir and computer keyboarding. I retired from Adrian in 2012, thinking my teaching career was over. The next 7 years found me watching my first five grandchildren arrive and needing Grandma and Grandpa frequently for daycare. Then St. Mary's called . . . and here I am, loving teaching again.

My name is Lisa Flores and I am the Food Services Leader for St. Mary's School. Formerly the Administrative Assistant in the school office, I have been assigned new duties this year. I am now overseeing our breakfast and lunch programs and handling all of the regulatory documentation associated with it. I hold a Master's Degree in Food Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and I have worked in the food industry in some capacity for over 40 years. In addition to overseeing the school's foodservice programs, I also have been given the responsibility of preparing our second graders for both First Reconciliation and First Communion, and teaching religion to our first grade students. I genuinely enjoy teaching the children about their faith. Their questions and insights are simply amazing! I also oversee our after school care program as well as our Virtus training program. I live with my sons in Wilmont and make frequent weekend trips to visit my mom in Sioux Falls.

Hello, my name is Lisa Gerdes. After my husband and I moved to Worthington in 1997,. I was a pediatrician for 11 years at what is now the Avera Clinic. I recieved my BS in biology at the Nebraska Wesleyan Universite in 1990, continued on to get my MD at the University of NE Med Center in 1994, and completed my combined residency at UNMC, Creighton in Pediatrics. I took time away from that job to spend more time with my two children, Claire & Jeffrey, who both attended school here at St. Over the years I have had the pleasure of volunteering and substituting here and began teaching 6th grade and Science classes in 2018. I love the students here and hope to continue the positive learning environment here at St. Mary's school as they head down their paths to success.

Hello! My name is Michael Vorwald! I was born and raised here in Worthington and graduated from WHS in 2009! After high school I attended Northwestern College for 3 years before graduating from the University of Sioux Falls with a degree in Elementary Education. Following graduation, I taught third-grade at Prairie Elementary for 2 years. I then took a break from teaching and returned to Northwestern College as the assistant men's basketball coach. Now, I am extremely excited to be back in the classroom as the second-grade teacher here at St. Mary's! Outside of school, I love all sports! In particular, I enjoy watching and being involved in basketball, football, golf and baseball. The Timberwolves, Twins, Viking and gophers are my favorite teams. What I enjoy doing most in my free-time, is chasing around my busy son Kessler Joseph (KJ) Vorwald.
