I worked part time and summers throughout highschool where I cleaned cars and various jobs around the dealership. In 1973, I went to Wilfrid Laurier University and sold cars when not in school. I joined the Ottawa Roughriders in 1977 and played in the CFL for seven years. In the off-season I would sell vehicles and help manage the dealership. I retired from football in 1983 and joined my father full time at Glassford Motors. In 1997, we built the present dealership on the 401.
