Tikvah Breimer (1982) is an independent senior advisor and teacher trainer in the field of curriculum design. She grew up with a father who is a pedaogue and inspired her for life. Having received her Masters Degrees at Utrecht University (Anthropology - studying Democratisation processes in Latin America, Master of Science, cum laude, and Bilingual and International Teaching, Master of Arts) she worked in a secondary school (International Baccalaureate), as a teacher and teacher trainer. She went back to study Urban Management and Development at Erasmus University in the Netherlands, completing her Master of Science with distinction. Tikvah continued to work at Erasmus University in the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) in the land market and policy team. There she worked a lot on design, including on blended design and reimagining training courses as a product. She then switched to work as programme manager and project lead on WASH projects at UK-based NGOs amongst others. In 2022, she founded StudioBlended. The origin story of the Studio lies in the deep understanding that technical resilience of a curriculum, and human resilience of teachers/trainers are two sides of the same coin. Tikvah conducts ongoing research into the various design angles in a unique philosophy and methodology for curriculum design that is part of the Studio's advisory and training services. Her work is unique for bridging silos between the content fields of architecture / urban / development / policy / land / water/ climate - and the realm of educational expertise and practice, by design.
