SURREY NATURE PARTNERSHIP

The Surrey Nature Partnership is one of several Local Nature Partnerships from across the country that were formally recognised by DEFRA 1 in August 2012, after having successfully applied to unify a group of locally interested organisations. Local Nature Partnerships have been set-up across the UK with the purpose of championing the value of the natural environment in decision-making at all levels... Surrey's rich heritage of wildlife and natural beauty is valued by both its residents and visitors. Surrey is also a popular place to live and work and is an economic powerhouse that supports the national economy. At the Surrey Nature Partnership we are linking organisations and individuals across the county to form an influential partnership with the aim of conserving and enhancing our natural assets, which underpin the county's health, well-being and economic success.
