THE HOLIDAY CHALET

The Holiday Chalet was originally built in 1896 for Henry and Mary Bohm of the Bohm-Allen Jewelers firm. It was then purchased by Mary Bohm's father, Noah Hayden Griffith, shortly before his death in the flu epidemic of 1918... The Holiday Chalet remained in the Griffith family for the next 52 years, drawing guests from all around the world. In 2004 the hotel was purchased by Crystal Sharp, a local fashion designer and business entrepreneur, who maintained the hotel for the next 13 years...
