Dr. Karen Spivak has extensive experience as a psychologist and she has strived to create a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment for her clients. Dr. Spivak provides client-centered psychotherapy based on her clients' needs. At the PWC, Dr. Spivak works with adults 19 years and older with a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, family/work stressors, struggles with self-identity, life changes, feeling stuck in moving forward or difficulty finding balance in their lives, bereavement, post-accident adjustment difficulties, alcohol and substance abuse and chronic pain.
Dr. Karen Spivak is a registered psychologist licensed by the College of Psychologists of Ontario since 1990. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Concordia University in Montreal and she pursued post-doctoral training at the Addiction Research Foundation and the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry. Since 1992, Dr. Spivak has maintained a private practice, which includes the provision of clinical services for Depression, Anxiety, Life Stressors, Chronic Pain, Alcohol and Substance Abuse, and Post-Accident Adjustment Difficulties. She worked for four years with Dr. Angela Mailis at the Toronto Western Hospital in the Comprehensive Pain Program with chronic pain patients and potential candidates for spinal cord stimulators.
Since 2014, Dr. Spivak has been working as Lead Psychologist and Clinical Coordinator with Dr. Mailis and the multi-interdisciplinary team at the Pain and Wellness Centre in Vaughan.

Dr. Naomi Kupferstein graduated from Wayne State University in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences. While at Wayne State, she played hockey for their NCAA division 1 hockey team. In 2012, Dr. Kupferstein graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, in Toronto, Ontario. She is an avid athlete and a supporter of an active and healthy lifestyle. She is certified in Graston Technique, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture and Active Release Therapy. Dr. Kupferstein has experience working as medical personnel for various Jr. A hockey teams. Her interests in athletics, human performance and kinetics and functional assessments are reflected in her treatments of all patients, ranging from beginners to elite athletes alike. She enjoys working in a team based environment to achieve optimal function and to meet your goal of living an active and healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Sean Sutton is a registered Chiropractor in the province of Ontario. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (2013), where he graduated with Clinic Honors and Summa Cum Laude designations. He began practicing immediately in a sports medicine and elite athletic setting, but has since transitioned into chronic pain care. In 2014, he joined The Pain & Wellness Centre as a chiropractor and senior manual therapist. He acts as a director of concussion management care and is actively involved in ongoing concussion research within the centre. In 2018, Dr. Sutton accepted a teaching position with the undergraduate department of The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
Dr. Sutton has completed a diplomate in chronic pain management through the Canadian Academy of Pain Management (2015), and has specialized training in contemporary medical acupuncture, various soft tissue therapy techniques, acute and chronic concussion rehabilitation, and remains a seasoned strength and conditioning specialist. He believes in providing evidence-informed, patient-centered care and continually integrates new techniques into his practice with the aim of improving the function and health of his patients.
