Iron Horse Hobby House was established in 1979 when the Schmehl family purchased Haines Hobby House from Mel Haines. Mr. Haines had constructed a new building at 60 South Sixth Street in Reading, PA in 1947 to house his budding hobby business. And we are still operating in that location - that's over 60 years of combined service to hobbyists from the same location!... We have continued, for over 30 years, with the tradition established by Mr. Haines of providing a large variety of hobby products at a fair price, and providing excellent customer service. Our knowledgeable and helpful staff is always ready to assist you. We are a full line hobby shop that stocks a product mix which will satisfy most everyone's requirements, from the beginner, to the serious hobby enthusiast. We carry products offered by all the major hobby manufacturers, and many products offered by a number of smaller manufacturers as well. In some instances, we may not have an item in stock, but we are always willing..
