Our founding agent, Ryan Cole, started in the Insurance industry in 1999. Working diligently with his wife and partner Joelle Cole, Ryan built a successful life insurance practice with licensed agents representing the firm in both Michigan and Ohio. Just before the economic down-turn of 2008, Ryan and Joelle closed that practice and Ryan entered the investment and retirement planning industry working with high net worth individuals through AG Edwards.
After a few years, Ryan was drawn back to his roots of serving middle-America, a market often neglected. To access that market, Ryan joined Allstate Financial Services as a Personal Financial Specialist, providing Life Insurance, Investment products, and Retirement Planning services to Allstate Agency clients throughout Northeast Ohio.
In late 2014, Ryan opened his own Allstate Exclusive Agency and found quick success earning Honor Ring and Premier Agency designation multiple years. Ryan quickly expanded to a second location and even partnered with his wife Joelle to open a third location near their home. It was during this time, Ryan and Joelle experience a total loss fire that changed how they viewed and approached their roles as trusted advisors.
Despite their success, Ryan felt drawn to the original business model in which he and Joelle began to operate 20 years prior. The call to independence was rising up in heart and mind. In 2020, Ryan sold his practice with Allstate and partnered with the founders of McMichael Insurance (link to McMichael Page?) to create My Insurance Ally. With well over 90 years of combined experience in the insurance industry, the founders of My Insurance Ally have the knowledge and capacity to address insurance, investment, and retirement planning needs of all sizes and shapes.
