The Vanac Family Farm was established in 1914 by Charles Vanac and has now been in the family for 5 generations. Our first sugarhouse was constructed shortly after our family moved onto the land. Our farm grew in 1950 which allowed for a second sugarhouse. Throughout most of our history, buckets were used to collect the sap and a pair of Belgian horses pulled our sled through the woods. Our third sugarhouse was built in 1968 and it was used up until last year. We broke ground on our new sugarhouse in the fall of 2017. We embraced our family's history with our new sugarhouse which is constructed using traditional framing techniques... Vanac Family Farm is a family-owned property in Geauga County, Ohio. We have specialized in making all natural, delicious maple syrup for the past seventy years.
