Utah School Boards Risk Management Mutual Insurance Association (USBRMMIA) was formed to serve only school districts; we focus on the day-to-day issues, from managing workers' compensation claims, managed care, and return-to-work initiatives to providing consulting services as a source of communication among other school districts... USBA's Risk Management and Loss Control programs utilize in-house professionals, including two deputized state fire marshals with several fire-training certifications. All loss-control staff are also certified to perform in-depth playground inspections utilizing ASTM and CPSC guidelines. We also provide training and other opportunities for school districts to reduce liability and their liability premiums at the same time... Utah School Boards Association builds highly qualified leaders by empowering locally elected school boards with the knowledge, skill, and quality services to advocate for public education and govern with excellence.
