I realized Voice of Maasai is at the epicenter of change that we have been dreaming for a long time, particularly for marginalized persons... As globalization increasingly results in evictions of the Maasai from their pastoralist lands, the young adults stand at a precipice, hemmed in on all sides as their traditional social patterns and communal way of life are disrupted, though their spirit remains strong. Finding ways forward in their increasingly changing world, they need to be heard, their stories be told, and their futures supported. Our goal is to bridge the social mobility gap by providing a platform for personal growth, expression, informed worldviews, and supplemental income generation... Providing an authentic and nuanced view of Maasailand and the Savannah's of East Africa through music and media.
