He received his Mining Engineering degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington. His career has been dominated by efforts to bring both large and small mining projects around the world into profitable production. He has worked in mining engineering, mineral exploration, strategic planning, financial planning, and project management for large multi-national mining companies and junior mineral exploration companies.
