I am a Forensic Chemistry, originally from the Philadelphia area. When I am not at the Merciad or in class, I can be found in the library tutoring or in the chemistry lab doing research. I also work in the Cheese Shop at Wegmans. To keep me company, I have a beautiful orange tabby name Cedric at my apartment.

My major is Integrated Marketing Communications, and here on campus I am on the Women's Rowing team and am a member of Mercyhurst Mentors. Lauren Ganger is an English and Music double major with a minor in Philosophy. In addition to editing the Arts and Entertainment section of the Merciad, Ganger has performed in the Mercyhurst Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and Civic Orchestra. She has also sung the role of the First Lady in The Magic Flute, Micaëla in Carmen, and the Countess Ceprano in Rigoletto with D'Angelo Opera Theatre, and she sang the soprano solo in Vivaldi's Gloria with the Mercyhurst Concert Choir and Civic Orchestra. She was selected as the Music Scholarship recipient from the Women's Club of Erie and has also won several awards for her essays, including the Mercyhurst University P. Barry McAndrew Essay Contest and an Honorable Mention in the British and World Literature category at the Sigma Tau Delta international conference. After graduation, she will be entering the PhD program in Musicology at the Eastman School of Music.
