Zero Mile Labs was created in 2021 out of frustration for the current produce distribution networks. There are so many produce grown around us, yet most of the produce we get are coming from a field 500 miles away. There needs to be a better way... Zero Mile Labs' mission is to help people get closer to their food by lowering the barriers to entry to agriculture. Our platform encourages small food producers to share their produce by connecting them to the local consumer base. With CropStand, producers can easily manage their roadside produce stand, gain additional income and connect with their consumers. Consumers can find nearby produce stands, what types of produce they hold and easily purchase them through their phone... We imagine a future where everybody can walk outside and pick up local produce from their neighbors, in a seamless transaction.
