Here at Michigan Youth Conservancy and Sustainability Initiative, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. We are the youth chapter of The Michigan Conservancy Initiative and our mission is to advocate for environmental justice and promote eco-friendly living. We have a strong passion for sustainability and are determined to make an impact. The core of our efforts is to bring our fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we're involved in. The Arbor Hills landfill is permitted to grow to a height of 400 feet and has reached approximately 350 feet as of 2020. The latest available annual Report of Solid Waste Landfilled in Michigan (Table 10, page 23) estimates the remaining capacity at 7 - 8 years using 2019 data.
