Studies have shown that these methods can promote good respiratory health, reduce the risk of respiratory infections and, in some circumstances, reduce the risk of hospitalisations. We also raise awareness of the presence of these allergens and pollutants in public places such as schools, hotels etc where children, in particular, spend large amounts of time. We encourage these establishments to use appropriate cleaning methods to remove these allergens and pollutants... We know how confusing it can be to work out which avoidance methods work effectively in practice. Our own experiences of improving our indoor air quality and allergen avoidance as well as our work with indoor air quality experts have highlighted to us how this can be achieved in the most effective ways.
