Nick Clegg has been Chair of the board of directors of United Trust Bank, this company's banking subsidiary, 2001 when the Bank was acquired by Insinger de Beaufort. He led a management buyout of United Trust Bank in 2003 and stepped down in 2016. He has guided UTB through years of stellar growth as well as through the extreme volatility and risk of the 2008 crash. In December 2018 Nick retired from the Chair of UTB Partners after 15 years in the role and after a massive contribution to steering the development of United Trust Bank. Nick has enjoyed a long and successful career in banking spanning nearly six decades.
