This is a "Fan Film Remake" of "Boyz in the Hood". One of my favorite films from John Singleton... In Tyler Perry Film "Diary of a Mad Black Women", the rooftop date scene was very inspirational to me. I picked that scene as a challenge to see if I can achieve that same romantic vibe displayed in the movie... A grumpy, old man's life turns upside down when he discovers a mischievous orphan is his granddaughter - until they bond over soap box derby racing.
