Jason A. Vigil

Job Titles:
  • Attorney
"I represent people during some of the worst times of their lives. It's my job to make their lives better by holding those accountable for their actions." Jason A. Vigil is a lifelong New Mexican. He was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he graduated from St. Michael's High School in 2007. He graduated with a Bachelor's in Business Administration from New Mexico State University with honors in 2010. Jason graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2014, where he served as the student representative on the Faculty Appointment Committee, the body charged with identifying the school's needs and interviewing and hiring professors. Jason has been admitted to practice in New Mexico and Federal Courts since 2014. Jason started practicing law on the defense side, working under some of the most experienced defense attorneys in the state. His practice focused on defending clients in cases regarding personal injury and wrongful death. While that experience was informative, it was not a good fit for Jason-he wanted something more. Since switching sides to representing injured claimants, Jason has been awarded The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 for Civil Plaintiff Attorneys. Jason believes it's our job as trial lawyers to help people. Helping people can come in many forms. It can include helping to remove dangerous products from the market, show a doctor they need to spend more time with patients or force a company to spend more time and resources in training its employees on safety. When those defendants refuse to make any positive changes, we litigate the claims for monetary compensation because that's just how the justice system operates.
