We envision opening doors, and providing Second chances for formerly incarcerated people. Led by our core values of integrity, teamwork, empowerment, tenacity, and results, we are working to end recidivism in New York City... At a Second U Foundation, we know that Second chances matter. Our mission is to educate, certify, and secure employment for formerly incarcerated people as certified personal trainers. Through opportunity, empowerment, and community-we seek to eliminate recidivism. [Recidivism: the tendency for someone convicted to reoffend]... Working as a team is at our core. We create a culture of community and unity among ourselves and actualize the collective strength of team.
