Anthony Ferguson

Anthony Ferguson, Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Family Wealth Advisors and investment advisor, is President of CFAL, one of the leading investment firms in The Bahamas with B$1.9 billion in Assets Under Management (as of 01 January 2021). He is a Director of Colina Holdings Bahamas Ltd., AF Holdings Ltd. and St. Matthew Capital Ltd. Mr. Ferguson is a leading authority on matters of economic and national significance, appearing frequently as a guest on local talk shows and at industry events and conferences. Before establishing CFAL, Mr. Ferguson was the President of International Portfolio Analytics, an international investment firm based in The Bahamas, which held assets under management in excess of B$600 million. Over the last 35 years, he has held key positions at a number of internationally-based financial institutions with Bahamian offices. In additional to his professional experience, he has served as President of CFA Society The Bahamas and was President and Director of the Bahamian Association of Investment Management Research (now the CFA Institute). Mr. Ferguson holds a B.B.A. from Acadia University and is a graduate of the Kellogg School of Business Executive Program.

Antoine Bastian

Antoine Bastian, CPA, is the CEO of Genesis Fund Services Limited, a boutique fund administration and financial solutions firm based in Nassau, Bahamas. Mr. Bastian is a key participant in the Bahamian financial services industry, continuously working with private and public partners to develop and enhance national investment management legislation to drive the growth of the industry. He is also frequently called upon to participate in local and international financial services events. Mr. Bastian began his accounting career in 1990 with Deloitte and Touché, then served as a fund accountant at MeesPierson Fund Service Ltd. from 1993 to 1995. Subsequently, he managed St. Matthew Investment Fund Accounting Ltd., which was associated with Michael J. Liccar & Co. CPA's of Chicago, Illinois. In 1999, he joined The Private Trust Corporation Limited as manager of the mutual fund department and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2001. In January 2002, Mr. Bastian segregated the mutual fund department from the bank and trust operations and launched Genesis Fund Services Limited, which became an independent company in July 2004. Mr. Bastian holds a B.Sc. in Accounting from Indiana University.

Owen Wells

Owen Wells studied at the University of Buckingham in Buckinghamshire, England, where he obtained his LLB with Upper Second Class honors in 2009. Thereafter, he completed his postgraduate diploma in Bar Vocational Studies at the College of Law in Bloomsbury, London, England with the distinction of Very Competent. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in July 2010 and admitted to the Bar of The Bahamas in September 2010. As a Partner at the Law Firm of McKinney, Turner & Co., Mr. Wells has a diverse practice in the Civil and Commercial Litigation sector. His experience in an array of complex matters has made him well versed in commercial transactions. In particular, he has represented private and public companies, large commercial banks, offshore banks, and private equity funds. He has advised a number of clients on matters relating to liquidation and the disposal of securities assets, and reporting obligations related to security transactions. He has broadened his scope of practice through engagements as a criminal defence attorney in a number of high-profile criminal prosecutions of widespread public interest. Mr. Wells has also held directorship positions for various corporate services providers in The Bahamas, and is currently a director of Helvetic Management Services Ltd. In this capacity, he provides legal support for the structuring of Bahamian investment Funds and special purpose vehicles.
