Dr. A. J. Saleh Ahammad

Dr. A. J. Saleh Ahammad is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Jagannath University. He received his BSc and MSc from the Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka. He obtained his PhD in 2011 from Konkuk University, Korea. Then he moved to Centre for Advanced Research in Sciences (CARS), University of Dhaka, and worked as Senior Scientist. In 2013, he got Lecture position in the Department of Chemistry, Jagannath University. He did his Postdoctoral Research in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University, Korea. He published 49 articles in ISI journals. According to Google Scholar, his total citations = 2368, h-index = 23, and i10-index = 31. Moreover, two patents, three book chapters and 68 conference abstracts are in his credit. He obtained several awards such as KRF Award (2007), Outstanding Doctoral Research Award (2011), TWAS Research Grant Award for two times (2013 and 2020) and UGC Gold Medal Award (2016). In 2013, one of his articles has been selected for Dean's award for excellence research in sciences, University of Dhaka. He is the member of several professional organizations. He is a potential reviewer of some international journals published form American Chemical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, Elsevier, Springer, WILEY-VCH and Electrochemical Society.

Dr. Al-Nakib Chowdhury

Dr. Al-Nakib Chowdhury is a senior Professor (Grade-1) of Chemistry at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He served the department as its Chair along with other top administrative responsibilities of the institution during his long carrier at BUET. Dr. Chowdhury was also deputed by the Government of Bangladesh as the Vice Chancellor of Pabna University of Science and Technology for four years. He has long research experiences in the area of material design and development at nano scale and their applications in sensor, energy, environment and industrial catalysis. Dr. Chowdhury authored several quality scientific papers, books and book chapters (http://nakib.buet.ac.bd/). Dr. Chowdhury is currently leading the nanotechnology and STEM initiatives in Bangladesh.

Dr. Faisal Islam Chowdhury

Dr. Faisal Islam Chowdhury obtained M.Sc. in Chemistry with 1st class first position two Ph.D. degrees (Ph.D. in Experimental Physics from University of Malaya in 2018 and Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Chittagong in 2010 for his pioneering works on ionic liquid doped noble gel polymer electrolytes applied to dye-sensitized solar cells and molecular interaction in binary liquid mixtures, respectively). He is currently Associate Professor of Chemistry at University of Chittagong. He worked as a Visiting Research Fellow at Center for Ionics, Department of Physics, University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2019. He awarded Best Presenter Award in International Symposium on Materials and Asset Integrity (ISMAI 2016), Kuala Lumpur. His areas of expertise cover Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC), Nanotechnology, Li-ion battery, Polymer electrolytes, Computational Chemistry, Solution chemistry. He published 26 articles in ISI journals, 1 book and 4 book chapters. His total citations = 292, h-index = 10, and i10-index = 11.

Dr. M. Nuruzzaman Khan - Treasurer

Dr. M. Nuruzzaman Khan is an Associate Professor of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the University of Dhaka. He achieved his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Applied Chemistry from the same University. Dr. Khan obtained his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Heidelberg University, Germany in 2014 with prestigious DAAD scholarship. Dr. Khan has extensive work experience as an academician. He teaches Physical chemistry, Polymer science and biomaterials, Nanotechnology, Energy at University. He had worked as a principle and associate investigator in several research projects funded by TWAS-COMSTECH (www.twas.org), ISESCO (www.isesco.org.ma), OPCW, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Ministry of Education (MOE) and University Grant Commission (UGC), Bangladesh. Dr. Khan was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship to conduct research on nano-biomaterials in Japan under Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) program. He was awarded highly prestigious DAAD scholarship (Germany), JSPS (Japan), Lindau Noble Laureate scholar (Germany) and Dr. Sophie Bernthsne Foundation Germany Best Doctoral Researcher Award (2013) for the extensive research work in Surface and Materials Sciences. Dr. Mohammad Mahbub Rabbani

Dr. Mohammad Mahbub Rabbani is an Associate Professor in the department of Natural Science (Chemistry) at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). He obtained his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Chemistry from University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Dr. Rabbani obtained his PhD degree in Informatics and Materials Engineering from Dong-Eui University, Busan, South Korea in 2011. Later, he worked as post-doctoral researcher in Kyungpook National University, Deagu, South Korea and Inha University, Incheon, South Korea. His research areas include synthesis and characterization of metal nanoparticles, quantum dots, nanocomposites, multifunctional polymer nanocomposites, nanofibers, multi-layered thin films etc. Electrospinning technique to prepare composite nanofibers is one of his major research interests. Dr. Rabbani has published several research papers in various renowned peer-reviewed international journals. He has also published few book chapters from world renowned publishers. He is an active reviewer of different international journals. Dr. Rabbani has been teaching Chemistry, Nanotechnology and Natural Science at AIUB. He has designed the course "Nanotechnology for Engineers" for the undergraduate engineering students of AIUB. He was involved in establishing "Center for Nanotechnology Research (CNR)" at AIUB and was an active member of organizing committee (Technical Program Chair) for recently held International Symposium on Nanotechnology (ISN2020) at AIUB. Dr. Rabbani is a founding member of Bangladesh Nano Society (BNS) and currently he is serving the BNS as the general secretary. He is a life member of Bangladesh Chemical Society. Besides teaching and research, Dr. Rabbani is involved in human rights activities as a founder Vice-chairman of Legal Support and People's Rights (LSPR) foundation.

Dr. Nazmul Abedin Khan

Nazmul Abedin Khan received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. In 2012, he received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Kyungpook National University, South Korea. He worked as postdoctoral fellow in the Green-Nano Materials Research Center, Korea. Since May 2014, he worked as Contract Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Kyungpook National University. Since September 2019, he has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, East West University, Dhaka. His major research involves the facile synthesis, functionalization or modification of porous materials like metal-organic frameworks, porous carbons, zeolites, metal phosphates etc. for selective adsorption of hazardous organic compounds and for various heterogeneous catalytic purposes. Recently, he is also working on the carbon-based materials (derived from metal-organic frameworks) and their application in electrochemical supercapacitors. Since 2008, he has published around 90 peer-reviewed journal papers, including 5 patents, 6 review articles and 3 book chapters. His several works were recognized/selected as the journal covers in highly reputed journals. He has H-index of 44, i10-index of 71; and total citation of 6600 times (based on Google Scholar). In 2012, he attained the "Brain Korea" award from BK21 Korea. Some of his publications were selected as the best publications in Kyungpook national University, South Korea; in the years of 2012, 2015, 2019.
