As the nation's first African American Board Chair at a public food service company, Brenda J. Lauderback is an executive trailblazer who drives bottom-line results, supports her community, and invests in future generations. Lauderback's track record of success, grounded in hard work and strategic thinking, has fueled her career, leading her into the senior ranks in corporate America, including her current role as chairman of the board for Denny's, Inc. (DENN), one of America's largest full-service family restaurant chains. Her career in retailing began at Gimbel's Department store in downtown Pittsburgh where she worked across the company in multiple departments, quickly learning what it takes to be an effective leader. She strategically navigated through Gimbel's before she decided to take on greater responsibility in Minneapolis as a merchandise buyer at Dayton-Hudson, now known as Target Corporation. She became the company's first and only African American to become Vice President and General Merchandise Manager for shoes, cosmetics, accessories, intimate apparel, and children. Lauderback moved to U.S. Shoe Corporation, where she became the president of the wholesale and manufacturing divisions while also leading the company's international offices. Later, when Nine West acquired U.S. Shoe, she became the company's president of the wholesale and retail divisions. All of these experiences in leadership and strategic business growth have positioned Lauderback as a highly sought-after board member and a widely lauded and recognized business leader. She is a member of the Sleep Number and Wolverine Worldwide corporate boards. Additionally, she is one of the National Association of Corporate Director's Top 100 Directors. She is on the National Restaurant News' Power List of Most Influential People in Foodservice and one of Savoy Magazine's Most Influential Women in Corporate America. She received the President's Lifetime Volunteer Service Award from the White House in May 2022 which resulted in the city of Charleston, SC, Mayor proclaiming May 9, 2022, as Brenda Lauderback Day. Rudy Wilson was named President of the Global Consumer Brands (GCB) business unit in February 2021. In this role, he is responsible for delivering strategic objectives across the GCB portfolio, which includes category-leading iconic brands like Ziploc®, Glade®, Raid®, OFF!®, Mr Muscle®, Duck®, Windex®, and Scrubbing Bubbles®. Rudy's purview spans Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, Finance and Supply Planning, with revenue from more than 170 countries, and powered by about 4,000 employees. Previously, Rudy served as GCB's Global Chief Marketing Officer from 2019 to 2021, where he was responsible for driving sustainable growth across the portfolio worldwide, through a process of commercial excellence, creative disruption, and consumer centricity. Rudy held the role of Senior Vice President responsible for owning the total P&L across Africa, the Middle East, Russia, and Turkey from 2018 to 2019. He was Vice President of Home Storage from 2016 to 2018, where he was responsible for Ziploc's growth strategy, brand equity platforms, innovation pipeline, and international expansion. Prior to joining SCJ, Rudy was Global VP of Brand Marketing and Advertising at AT&T, where he drove marketing best practices, developed consumer-facing advertising for the AT&T Brand portfolio, and led consumer engagement programming and activation. Rudy spent a decade at Frito-Lay where he held both marketing and commercial leadership roles including VP Marketing of Core Brands (Tostitos, Doritos, Cheetos, Fritos, and SunChips) and Group VP of Consumer and Shopper Engagement. Rudy has been honored with multiple awards, including Gold and Silver Cannes Lions, Effie Awards, Clio Awards, One Show Awards, Favorite Website Awards, a D&AD Award, a Sabre PR Award, and a Webby Award. Rudy is on the board of directors for Whirlpool Corporation and the National Association of Manufacturers, and he is an active member of BECA (Black Executive CMO Alliance). He proudly holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BS in Marketing from Arizona State University. Outside of the office, Rudy enjoys an active life with his family. You may find Rudy engrossed in family game night with his wife Nichole, daughter Ella, and son Carter. Or, he might be 100 feet underwater taking photos of sea life as a PADI Advanced Scuba diver.
