Bronx Commons, located at 443 East 162 Street, Bronx, NY 10451, is a 420,000 square-foot new construction of 305 permanently affordable studio, 1-, 2- and 3- bedroom rental apartments, which will serve formerly homeless families and individuals, including victims and survivors of domestic violence, as well as households earning between 30% and 110% of Area Median Income... The Women's Housing and Economic Development Corporation (WHEDco) is a community development organization founded on the radically simple idea that all people deserve healthy, vibrant communities. We build award-winning, sustainable, affordable homes - but our work is not over when our buildings are complete. WHEDco believes that to be successful, affordable housing must be anchored in strong communities that residents can be proud of.
