Elizabeth Woods

Elizabeth Woods is a graduate student pursuing an MA in Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Tùbingen. She also holds an MA in Russian and Post-Soviet Politics from University College London and a BA in Anthropology from Arizona State University. Her research focuses on questions of identity, belonging, and homeland in Central Asia.

Gulzhan Begeyeva

Gulzhan Begeyeva is the associated consultant at CAB. In 2017 she was a visiting research fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs in Oslo, where she completed her research on donor organizations in aid-dependent Kyrgyzstan. Gulzhan Begeyeva is a PhD researcher in Anthropology and Sociology at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. She holds an MA in International Studies from the University of Tsukuba in Japan and an MA in Politics and Security from the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Muslimbek Buriev

Muslimbek Buriev, is the Project Manager at CAB and independent researcher looking into political and social issues in Tajikistan. His research interests encompass public and foreign policy, security and ethnic issues. Muslimbek cooperated with such institutions as Institute for and Peace Reporting, Eurasia Foundation for Central Asia, Centre for European Security Studies, United States Institute of Peace and others. Raushan Sadyrbaeva

Raushan Sadyrbaeva is a civic activist and an educator. She started her career in the election observation field in 2015. Since then, she has been a part of election monitoring teams in various capacities, starting from minor positions up to a project coordinator position. Raushan was a program coordinator of one of the oldest NGOs in Kyrgyzstan, PU "Coalition for democracy and civil society" and a project coordinator of a newly founded monitoring group "Common Cause". As of now, she is engaged in projects related to civic education.

Tlegen is an early career researcher and analyst, focusing on comparative studies of authoritarianism, political stability of hybrid regimes, and political participation. His professional background includes legal consultancy, non-profit organizations of civil society, and academia. Tlegen is the OSCE Perspectives 2030 fellow and holds MA in Political Science from the University of Pavia, Italy.
