Charlott Dazan is a Fulbright and NORAM alum working primarily in sculpture, photography, and installation. They received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bergen National Academy of the Arts 2018 and a Master of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design 2020. They currently live and work on a celestial body some astronomical units from the sun... I delight in unlikely juxtapositions: from Deleuze and Mars Attacks, to neon-punk and microscope images of flora and fauna, to tassel curtains, stress balls and filing cabinets, to esoteric references and scraps salvaged from the www, to lazy anthropology and materialist feminism-aesthetically mixing them together with shenanigans as flexible as my own intensely plastic imagination. Some are perhaps unsettled by my lack of decorum: they want me to take a stand, be one thing; otherwise, I'm not political enough or strange enough or maximalist enough or radical enough. But, I say, as long as it got that "yummy-yum, yummy-yummy" I don't care-..
