In 1973, Bill and Wanda Davis purchased Houston Halls Nursing Home which was a 50 bed facility at the time. They increased the number of beds to 73 and the name was changed to New Perry Nursing Home. In 1993, Alzheimer's/Dementia Care began as a specialized service offering care for individuals with mid-stage and late-stage Alzheimer's Disease and related Dementia. In 1998, New Perry Nursing Home changed its name to Summerhill Senior Community to reflect its coming expansion of services offered through a restoration/
