Mrs. Bangura has always supported CSSL membership wise and in radio and TV sensitization programs.
She is a member of several women's network where she has encouraged them to do tree planting activities and be environmentally minded in their daily activities.
She is currently the Principal at Literacy for Christian Children in Sierra Leone, a business college where students are also encouraged to be environmentally friendly as well.
Hon. Charles Showers is a wildlife management expert and birdwatching enthusiast. After his studies and work engagements in wildlife management and protection, and IBA (Important Bird Areas) in Tanzania and Kenya, he returned home to support conservation effort and wildlife protection.
During the last decades, Hon. Showers worked for Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Gola Rainforest and CSSL in various capacities.
He entered the CSSL Board as Floor Member, and became President in 2016. He supports the Society's work with his experience in wildlife protection as well as in getting more people involved in conservation through birdwatching excursions in Freetown.
Hon. Osman Jalloh Timbo, is a distinguished figure in environmental advocacy and tourism, with a solid foundation in political science from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. He has seamlessly merged his academic expertise with a passion for sustainable practices. Timbo's commitment to the wise use of the environment has made him a notable advocate, contributing significantly to the intersection of environmental awareness and tourism development in Sierra Leone. His multifaceted background uniquely positions him as a leader in promoting responsible tourism practices and fostering environmental stewardship.
Hon Amara is an environmental activist and has been involved in promoting tree planting activities among youth groups in the south and eastern parts of Sierra Leone. He is a very active member of CSSL and does a lot of awareness raising on environmental protection.
