Danish Modern Design.com is located in the small Southern Oregon town of Ashland. It came about as a result of our love for the architectural design and clean lines of Danish Modern furniture from the 1950's all the way up to present day. Without artifice, the designs are functional, elegant and graceful while highlighting the beauty of natural wood. My artist-parents began collecting in the 1960's and from them I gained a love and appreciation of this furniture and its design. After years in the corporate world I now spend time in my workshop bringing the pieces I have sourced from around the West Coast of the United States (and before long directly from Denmark!) back to life. There is nothing like wiping a fresh coat of oil on the bare wood, bringing back the glow that it once had and offering it back to an appreciative audience!
