A Rochester

A Rochester native, Sheila resides in Pittsford New York with her husband and her three German Shepherds. She enjoys quiet time at home reading, gardening and visiting her son Anthony and his extended family. She also enjoys traveling to visit her daughter in Mississippi where she is currently finishing up medical school. Outside of tax season, she also volunteers at the Friendly Home of Rochester.

Angella N. O'Hara

Since joining Davie Kaplan in 2016, Angella has obtained the Chartered Financial Consultant™ and the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ designation and has moved from being a licensed assistant to a trusted Advisor and the key person for Davie Kaplan Wealth Care Advisor's compliance. Angella prides herself on giving her clients a strong holistic financial plan that helps them plan for their futures. "Education of my clients is very important to me. Many of my clients find planning for their future scary or new to them, and I strive to end the fear of the unknown." In addition to meeting with clients, Angella works behind the scene to make sure that every client receives the best white glove service that Davie Kaplan is proud to offer. If asked, anyone on the Wealth Care team would say that Angella has a strong focus in documentation, processes, and effective solutions, all of which strengthen our relationships with our clients and communication with each other. Each challenge for Angella is a learning opportunity and a way to strengthen our knowledge base. Brian M. Sauers

As a partner, Brian coordinates and reviews various firm engagements including audits and financial statements, tax planning and consulting services. He has expertise in cost segregation consulting, peer review and auditing retirement plans. Brian builds trusted relationships with his clients and has earned a reputation for his responsiveness. He understands that each client is unique and that there are different approaches to success. Through careful planning he works with his clients to achieve results. Brian began his career in 2002 and joined the firm in 2004. Brian stays involved in the community as a board member of the YMCA and Rochester Hearing & Speech Center. He was a recipient of the Rochester Business Journal ‘Forty Under 40' award in 2014. In his earlier days, Brian went bungee jumping, sky diving, mountain climbing, repelling and parasailing. He has been on numerous adventures, but we will never really know as Brian enjoys being in the moment and rarely takes pictures. He feels that pausing takes away from the beauty and significance of that moment.

As an advisor, Chris works with the partners at Davie Kaplan to provide clients with comprehensive financial and investment planning. Having obtained his Certified Financial Planner ™ certification, Chris feels that the backbone to an individual's financial success, is a financial plan. The financial plan provides a framework for selecting investments and other vehicles necessary in achieving those goals and objectives. Chris is passionate about helping clients navigate the sometimes complex world of planning, insurance and investments. In addition to his CFP®, Chris also has his Certified for Long Term Care® (CLTC®) designation. He specializes in walking clients through the different types of Long Term Care insurance and helping them choose a solution that is right for them. Chris graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 1998 with a degree in business management and a minor in economics. He began his career in financial services in 2001 and joined Davie Kaplan in 2009. Chris enjoys giving back to his community and enjoys volunteering his time at The Ronald McDonald Charities of Rochester. Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. Daniel J. Nitschke

As a manager, Daniel's expertise is in understanding the needs of closely-held businesses and their owners. He has implemented many tax savings strategies for his clients in the real estate, manufacturing, restaurant and consulting industries. As a manager in the tax department, Daniel is responsible for coordinating and reviewing various firm engagements, including financial and tax planning, tax compliance compiled financial statements, and consulting. Daniel always acts in the best interest of his clients. He is very conscientious about seeking out, presenting and implementing tax savings opportunities for them. Daniel has been an integral part of Davie Kaplan's tax department since 2012 and has been in public accounting since 2004.

David C. Pitcher

Dave assists clients in negotiating the purchase and sales of businesses, preparing financing packages, analyzing tax effects of alternative decisions, developing feasibility studies, and other related matters. He performs Peer Reviews of other CPA firms pursuant to the AICPA Peer Review Program. In addition, he has provided expert testimony and advice in a wide variety of malpractice, criminal, and civil cases. He represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service, New York State and other jurisdictions for audit and other tax matters. Dave is a Board member and Treasurer of Nativity Preparatory Academy of Rochester; chairing the Finance Committee. He is also a Board member former Treasurer and Board Chair of Rochester Hearing and Speech Center. He is a past Chair and current member of the Peer Review Board of NYSSCPA. He recently joined the Peer Review Board of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPA's. David joined the firm in 2005, and is a manager in the tax department. David's background includes audits and reviews of financial statements and corporate, partnership, and individual tax matters including specialized tax services such as tax research, the New York State QETC and federal research credits , multi-state income tax preparation, and other state incentive programs and tax credits. David also specializes in audits of affordable housing developments including HUD, Rural Development and Low Income Housing Tax Credit properties. Additionally, he provides business owners, executives and high net-worth individuals with strategic and creative plans. Through the design and implementation of plans such as ESOP's, management buyouts, family and third party exit strategies, business owners may successfully achieve their long-term financial goals. Gary A. DeBellis

Gary strives to deliver timely and accurate advice to help businesses and individual clients become more successful. He specializes in trust, estate, individual taxation and retirement planning. As the Tax Department Chair, Gary manages the daily operations of the department and development of staff. He monitors policy, procedures and tax law updates. Gary began his career at the firm in 1985. He likes to be involved in the community. He is the Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee for the Board of Governors at the Tennis Club of Rochester. He is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Rochester. Gary was previously a Trustee and member of the Finance and Investment Committees for the Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School; a past Board of Management member and Chairman of its Finance Committee for the Northwest Branch of the YMCA; and a past co-chair of the United Way Success-by-Six Investment Team.

Gregory A. Gillette

As the manager in charge of the tax department, Jeanette has over twenty years of experience with small to medium size companies. She has extensive knowledge of estate and trusts and also specializes in individual taxation. Jeanette focuses on team approach to accomplish her clients' goals and utilizes her experience, knowledge and the firm's wide variety of specialties to obtain the best outcome for them. She believes that this approach, when working with various attorneys, executors and trustees, creates the most beneficial results. Jeanette began her career as an accountant in 1995. She worked with a variety of companies allowing her to gain a vast knowledge base in order to best serve her clients' needs. Jeanette is a graduate of Alfred State College and SUNY Brockport. Sheila has found public accounting to be the perfect fit - each day brings something different. No two projects or tax returns are alike. She is also a certified Quick Books Pro Advisor. Sheila is a graduate of Nazareth College.

Todd S. Eaton

Todd spent the first four years of his career at a "Big Four" accounting firm before leaving for a financial position in industry. He spent the next 20+ years at several companies in the Rochester area before returning to public accounting with Davie Kaplan in 2007. As CFO, Todd's responsibilities are internal to the firm rather than client services. Todd received his B.S. in Accounting and MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a member of the Rochester Chapter of the Financial Executives Institute.
